Music Review Grand Archives Grand Archives

by  Grand Piano Light

"Grand Archives" is an American five piece indie band from Seattle, Washington. And Mat Brooke (vocals, guitar and harmonica), Ron Lewis (guitar, piano and organ), Jeff Montano (bass), Curtis Hall (drums) and Thomas Wright (guitar). Main types of music indie rock and folk rock. Before it was known as Grand Archives, three girls named Fantastic Archives and Mat Brooke was a former companion of Carissa Weird and Band of Horses.

The Archives Grand opens with the skin relaxed and a little ' "Torn Blue Foam Couch". It's more like a pop rock song, singing Mat effort accompanied by the orchestra, like music. As always, Torn Blue Foam Couch starts climbing the stairs and up time. It ends very beautiful when all the instruments blend together, and the performance of an orchestra. A grounded Opener!

The swing harmonica and whistling at the beginning of "Miniature Birds" is really good. Reminds me a bit 'of my childhood. The music of this piece is serene and cheerful, moves his head from side to side listening to the birds in miniature. Grand Archives have an impact on the chorus this song, which goes to Mat, "It took so long … and the rest of the band with just some nice music, especially the keyboard. And, at times, combining the song with Mat. Another important reference is the horn and trombone used in this piece that will be complete only this piece!

"Swan Baseball" is a slow ballad that ghetto Jen, as a guest appearance. When it comes to Jen, Mat and do a duet, "And I remember how fast we ran I remember how fast we ran, we flew over the fences, we avoided all the cars in motion, and the dry Arizona faces , the dry Arizona faces .. . "The guitar in this piece is, I believe that the large files and take only strum the guitar, according to their music instinct, not just score. Total adults fleeing people.

"Index Moon" is another ballad that sees Mat sings with passion. The guitar large files in this piece is sometimes slow and draggy. When it comes to lyrics, the music just get into a sound softer. When the dance, the music comes to life only in the background, with the song of Mat. If you listen carefully, you'll find there's a good voice in the background going, "Woo Hoo … …". Index Moon is so good progress is slow, but not keep you long enough until you get bored waiting for the choir to come. Simply amazing. Seeing is believing!

"George Kaminski" if I'm not mistaken, is one of the characters that appear in manga and anime case closed, also known as Detective Conan. This piece is purely acoustic guitar and harmonica to play together, Mat only sing. During this piece, it is difficult to grasp the lyrics to sing Mat, I have to look at the lyrics if I understand the words. George Kaminski also sounds sad, sometimes through the voice of Mat. This may be the only piece that proves to be the best, if applied to a jam session disconnected.

"A Setting Sun" can be regarded as the best part of the Grand Archives. If you look at the text, the writing very clever, "You could be quick or be, could be quick or be tired, computed tomography, the ticking of the top of the pile, which in thickness, so bite the brick of all … "Now we can all see the flow of the text, the rhyming words that use large files. And across the sunset, I would not be surprised if you like this song and move his head from side to side as an evaluation tool of the music created by Grand Archives. Truly amazing stuff here!

"Breezy No Breezy" is just pure function. It seems kind of creepy yet fun. The guitar and the trumpet stands out the most here. Breezy Breezy also seems mysterious, which can be used as background music in a film, especially in a place where a person tries to solve a mystery or puzzle fun way. Just too cute.

"Sleepdriving" driving too late. In the choir, there is a repetition of the verses in which Mat sings after the entry from the rest of the Grand Archives. It's like an empty song, and then the result is very important, creating a wall echoic of the sound. When he gets the break, the violin can be heard as Matt sings a little phrase. And the end is near, all the songs got louder and the whole store large join in the fun and sing along side Mat. What is this piece is the quality of a slow burner, which is like the "Run" by Snow Patrol. Burn up slowly and naturally soft.

The title of "Louis Riel" is also the name of a politician who founded the Canadian province of Manitoba and was the leader of the Canadian Prairies. This piece is expected to be sad, but it sounds really happy and cheerful. The body is actually pumping and takes the listener happens. When the choir, store large should tell a long story, but the only thing that goes, "Ba, from … … "Sera Cahoone also appears briefly in this section. What a happy song here!

"Crime Window" is the path crunchiest The Archives Grand. You may feel as if a group of choir, singing along with the General Archives. Together with the horn, the song was very energetic and powerful! This is the song that could be the anthem for storing large concert. You will get the crowd and their fans dancing and singing together, "Sweet Jolly Jammers and the charge Dugan combustion victory lightering prairie …" Would not it be nice if you realize that you're tired by the end of this song. Lovely fun!

"Orange Juice" is a small piece of cake. Just a good song to perform a hot bar or bar. E 'light and graceful, with playing the trombone in the background. What sweeter way to end the album, sounds like Grand Archives closes the album with a happy note.

Stand-Out Tracks (my choices): Torn Blue Foam Couch, birds, miniature Index Moon A Setting Sun, Louis Riel, The window of crime and orange juice.

Cheers! Darren TanIndiesurf. com
